Description

The White Fleet of Żegluga Mazurska offers cruises around the great lakes.

"Żegluga Mazurska" is the largest and the most experienced passenger ship operator in the Masurian Lake District. Żegluga owns 11 vessels with carrying capacities of between 12 to 140 passengers. Larger boats have both a covered deck and a large observation deck, as well as a restaurant that serves hot traditional and regional food and beverages. All vessels have experienced captains and crew members.

The most attractive cruises include daytrips to the largest ports in the region and shorter excursions to various smaller locations that stand out for their natural beauty or historical interest.
The ports of Żegluga Mazurska are scattered around the most interesting tourist destinations in the Masurian Lake District.

The marina of Giżycko is its flagship port and serves as the starting point for regular southbound cruises to Mikołajki. Cruise liners cut through the vast Lake Niegocin and the picturesque Lake Jagodne, continue along a system of four canals towards the Tałty Lake, and moor at the marina of Mikołajki after passing under the beautiful bridges of the “Venice of Masuria”.

You can also leave Giżycko and head north to Węgorzewo. Northbound cruise liners cut through the town centre via the canal and pass the four lakes of the Mamry group (the second largest lake in Poland): Kisajno, Dargin, Kirsajty, and Mamry to enter the estuary of the Węgorapa River and continue along a picturesque route all the way to the marina by the Museum of Węgorzewo.

These are longer trips that take a day to complete. But you can also opt for hour-long cruises around Lake Niegocin that circumnavigate the legendary Isle of Love and sail towards the Hill of St. Bruno with its cross on the western edges of the lake. Slightly longer trips leave the marina for the enchanting Swans’ Trail (a group of islands on Lake Kisajno recognized as nature reserves) and to the cormorant colony on the Wysoki Ostrów Island on Lake Dobskie.
